Our standard rotary switch is 1.25 inches square and as little as .36 inches high ( excluding shaft) . These switches are an excellent low cost solution to the switching needs for electrical circuits. The more common applications for these switches are portable electric heaters, cooling fans and various kitchen appliances.
All of our rotary switches feature a push-in wire connection design. This means that the user simply strips the end of the wire ( in some cases we recommend a solder or Tin dip) and the wire is pushed into the various corners of the switch where it is locked into place automatically. This eliminates the cost of quick connect terminals and the labor and equipment cost associated with attaching them.
With the various options in switch and shaft materials ( metal / plastic), mounting, shaft detail, electric circuit, shaft detent, etc, we have created ( and tooled-up) hundreds of switch designs from which to choose. If we do not have an existing design to meet the application requirements there is always an option of tooling-up a new switch if warranted.
Depending on the circuit we have various shaft detents with options of: 18 deg., 22 1/2 deg., 30 deg., 45 deg. , and 90 degrees.
